Coach Shawn Regan: Head Coach of the Hot Springs Bathers.
Coach Regan is highly respected across the game and will be an excellent resource for other coaches. This hiring will provide a great opportunity for the players to learn from a man who has a great deal of knowledge and connections in the game.
His excitement and "all in" attitude is already helping in many ways as we prepare for 2024. Welcome Back Coach Regan!
Coach Shawn Regan is an exciting addition to the NSCL! With over 27 years spent in the dugout, including 7 as the 1st Head Coach in Arkansas Baptist College history, Coach Regan brings extensive experience to the dugout.

Coach Pete Southall: Head Coach of the Hot Springs Arlingtons.
Former Henderson State University head coach, Pete Southall, is another great addition to the NSCL. Coach Southall has spent his career working with pitchers across all levels and has 20+ years in the dugout. Coach Southall is a man of strong faith and has shown great excitement to work with our players. Our pitchers will especially benefit from his knowledge with both mechanics and strategy. Coach Bailey Butler: Head Coach of the Hot Springs Jockeys

Bailey Butler is the Head Coach of the Hot Springs Jockeys.
Coach Bailey Butler comes to the NSCL from Conway, Arkansas. Coach Butler, a native of Little Rock, played baseball at Mayflower High School where he was on a team that captured 4 consecutive conference titles, won 4 straight district titles, and earned 4 state tournament appearances in a row. Butler was a member of the 2015 AAA State Champion Mayflower Eagles Baseball Team. Coach Butler played at Lyon College in 2018 before starting his coaching career. Butler has previously coached with the Arkansas Sticks organization for 3 years, as well as coaching at Russellville High School for three seasons. 2023 will be his second summer leading the Jockeys in the NSCL.
Coach Bailey Butler had the following to say about the Natural State Collegiate League:
"The NSCL, to me, is a place for players to get quality reps in, while being able to focus on becoming the best player they can possibly be, through highly competitive game environments and situations."

Coach Jacob Barker: Head Coach of the Hot Springs Gamblers.

Jacob Barker is the Head Coach for the newly formed Hot Springs Gamblers.
Coach Jacob Barker will begin his first campaign with the NSCL as Head Coach of the Gamblers. Barker played a year at Seminole State College (OK) in 2015. He then went on to play for (and graduate from) the University of the Ozarks. Barker then spent 1 year in the Pecos League playing for the Tucson Saguaros. After his playing career, Barker served as the Assistant Coach at Minnesota West Junior College before returning to University of the Ozarks where he is currently the assistant.
Barker, a Russellville, Arkansas native, had this to say about the Natural State Collegiate League:
"I'm honored and excited to be a part of this league. There is a lot of talent in the state of Arkansas, and I am glad I can be a part of showcasing it."
With a new year comes new faces. We are excited to welcome two new Head Coaches in 2023!

Coach Peyton Kendrick: Head Coach of the Hot Springs Bootleggers

Peyton Kendrick is the new Head Coach of the Hot Springs Bootleggers.
Peyton Kendrick enters his first summer with the Natural State Collegiate League. He is originally from Mountain View, Arkansas, where he played baseball, basketball, and golf. He is a graduate from Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas, where he played as a middle infielder and pitcher. Upon graduation, he worked for Proformance Sports Academy under the direction of retired Major League pitcher Dustin Moseley. After working at Proformance, he was hired as an assistant coach for Carl Albert State College (NJCAA). He is currently working with all hitters and position players.
"I look forward to working with and coaching great athletes this summer. I expect it to be a summer full of exciting opportunities to get better at the game we all love."
